Prices last year were around 1500 each, and will probably be similar this season as well. There are several trustworthy boa breeders to chose from luckily. James W. Arnold, Alex B.-Boa Republic, Mike W.-Basically Boas, Tom Burke, Rich Ihle, etc. etc. There should be quite a few breeders to chose from within the next couple months. If possible, I would look at the sunglows from the litter to help decide which DH sunglows I would buy. Not all sunglows are created equal!! This won't be possible from a simple albino to hypo breeding, but there should be many hets from DH sunglow breedings. Best of luck, hope this answered your question. Take care!

I thought you would get hypo boas that were het albino (aka. Dbl Het Sunglow)from an albino bred to a hypo? Are you saying it has to be dbl het sunglow to dbl het sunglow to produce them?

If you breed albino to hypo you'll get 100% double hets, but you will not get any actual sunglows. So, what I'm trying to say is to be able to buy DH sunglows and actually get an IDEA of what they may produce as far as sunglows, I'd want to buy my hets from a litter that also produced sunglows. To be able to buy hets from a litter that also contained sunglows, the breeder would have had to use at the minimum a dh sunglow in the breeding. Hope it is a little more clear now???? If not, just pretend I never even replied-LOL!!! Take care

that's what I thought. I guess the quality of the dbl hets, and thus the Sunglows, mainly depends on the quality of the Salmons (or hypos) used, I would think. I saw a sunglow next to one Tom Burke produced last year and Tom's blew the other away. He has some awesome hypo females that he used to create them. You can see them on his site. Good guy to do business with too.

hey paul i think you messed a bit there but hey i may have just mis read what you said

salmon bred to albino = 100 % het albino
only the salmon babies will be dbl het sunglows

to buy from a litter that has produced sunglows you would only get poss het sunglows

You're in luck. Peter Kahl still has some available from 2003 and his price range is $1000-$1500 depending on looks. But right now he is having a 20% off sale, so that makes them $800-$1200. You can't beat that price. If I had the cash, I would be there.
