ANYBODY HAVE PICKY BLIZZARD EATERS???

cv768 Mar 25, 2004 05:31 PM

We brought a blizzard home and it ate fine inside it's original cage but now it won't touch crickets...I know you're supposed to give them time to settle in but all the others geckos have eaten first thing they came through the door. I've heard blizzards are picky...only eating at night??? is this true???

my adults and new borns have always ate well. They sometimes will not always accept the same food though. Mine go from crix to super worms and back and forth. I feed mainly supers though.

Leopard Geckos are Nocturnal meaning they are most active at night. Some of my geckos will eat during the day and some wont, but all will eat at night. Also, removing hideboxes will increase the feed response geckos are naturally lazy so if they have nothin to lay under they will be more active in the tank. Give your gecko a couple days with no crickets and worms then throw some in should tricker a feeding response if food is always available some geckos wont eat as much therefore when I feed my geckos after a few hours or over night I remove the left over food.. I introduce food to my leos useally every other or every 3 days.
