Baby common snapper shedding (looks "shabby" most of the time)???

duffy Mar 25, 2004 05:36 PM

Hey,

My little snapper is less than a year old, and really JUST started pounding food in the past month or so. He tears bait minnows up like there's no tomorrow now. Question: Do babies tend to look "shabby" much of the time due to constant shedding, or is there something else I need to be thinking about? He is active, alert, eating, etc. I have assumed that he has lots of shed hanging off of him much of the time, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks. Duffy

thats pretty normal when you are growing as fast as they do. as long as their normal behavior is the same and the skin hanging off isn't actually anything else, your fine. Mine still goes through shedding spurts.
