When I treated my 2 dragons for Coccidia I just used newspaper with a layer of paper towels. Whenever they pooped I just took out that soiled section of paper towels. If the matter soaked through then I would change the newspaper as well. If the matter made it to the bottom of the tank I would wipe it down with some Nolvason(sp?) my Vet gave me. For my situation it worked great because I could just change sections instead of the whole thing. However, if you feed them live crickets on paper towels it's very easy for those little devils to get under the paper and hide. So make sure you get all the crickets accounted for before lights out at night.

You will have to clean it out with a bleach/water solution. Best to have two rubbermaid tubs for him. One to keep him in while the other is drying. Cardboard furniture is a good idea as it can be thrown out every day, and paper towels on the bottom. I also went the extra step and cleaned daily with chlorhexidine/water solution on top of the bleach/water solution. You have to make sure it is completely dry, as the bleach fumes are toxic, so at least overnight drying is good. I got rid of the coccidia with round of meds this way. The way coccidia works is by reinfecting. The life cycle of the parasite will just continue as long as the dragon keeps getting reinfected. Also best to feed him in a separate bin, so as not to worry about the crickets running through the stool before you see it and clean it out. Good luck, keep us posted!
