Liberal or Conservative

So does this forum tend to lean towards the liberal or conservative side?

` This forum mostly leans to the side that has its minds made up, and ain't a gonna change that, in any way for any reason, and love to shout into the wind! Some of them have constantly open mouths, and are hopelessly in love with their own voices.

` I would bet that the other extreme, the open minded extreme, mostly just watch for entertainment. It can be extremely funny, especially while you resist the temptation to jump in. OOPS!

I would say that this forum balances between Conservatives that are liberal about expresing their opinions...and Liberals that aren't conservative about expressing theirs......(lol)

I would say it leans slightly liberal, but there is a good reason for that,--Pres. George Bush is in office now.

There are so many liberals, that hate him so much, they make up lies to discredit him. When you challenge these lies, these liberals think that makes you a right wing conservative wacko instead of someone who is just interested in the truth.

If some of these outragous lies were being told about Bill Clinton for instance, and I challenged these same lies, I would then be called a liberal by the conservatives.

Politics is a strange thing. The farther left or right you get, the less important truth becomes. Truth is slowly loosing its meaning as people become more biased, but I will try to keep up the fight for truth (and the middle) no matter who I have to fight with.

I don't know about that Rodney. While I have had ample enjoyment debating you before on this forum. I really would have a problem with you being in the middle politically. Me thinks you be a Conservative-diguised as a Moderate-pretending to be a Conservative! (lol)

While I can see how you would come to that conclusion, I don't think it is true. (I do like to rib the libs., since they are being such hypocrites currently, in an effort to bash Bush.)

While I do think I am slightly conservative, I am much closer to the middle than many think. Currently, there are a lot of attacks on Bush, since he is in office. If these attacks are justified, I won't condemn them. (like his immigration policy) But there have been very few of those so far. Mostly, there have just been lies about him so far. This isn't a conservative view, just a view of the truth. Look at all the Halliburton nonsense in the press to try to discredit his administration. Look at the facts (Chaney leaving Halliburton and selling all his stock, Halliburton's loss (not profiteering) this past year, and Halliburton's profits being legislated by congress), and it is little to complain about, much less something to indict Bush on! Remember the Clinton murder allegations? I didn't support that nonsense either, since there were no facts.

Look at the economy. I wouldn't condemn a democrat's administration for it, if the stock market had been crashing for 9 months prior and the US had seen an attack like 9/11.

I hold views based on what I know to be true.

For instance, I am an atheist, since I know there is no evidence of a god. (typically a liberal view)

I thought Clinton was an OK pres. (Up until he was a proven liar, and he did it so easily, then I didn't trust him anymore- or anything he said previously.) (also not a conservative view--they hated him from the beginning)

I am against legalized abortion. (A conservative view, but I take this view because of science and law--not a conservative perspective. I know for a fact, from raising animals, that life begins at fertilization. Who cares if incubation is carried out inside or outside the body? Who cares how developed something is when it dies? Is a reptile egg not alive until it hatches? If murder is the worse crime imaginable, abortion shouldn't be tolerated -- in order for their to be consistency in the law.)

I don't believe in global warming--due to the politics and money behind it, and due to all the similar frauds (Ice age) I have seen in my life.

I bet your view of my political positions would be different if I was challenging some things I thought were false allegations (based on facts) about a democratic administration. (not that I really care that much what you think of me, it's what I think of me that counts!)

Relax my friend...you are showing a typically "Conservative" response to my attempt at humor. Think VICTOR/VICTORIA. Just couln't resist the comparison.

That's ok...people on this forum call me a liberal...and I voted (as before stated)for Nixon and Reagan and campaigned for Goldwater!
