Outdoor Enclosure

bsmith251 Mar 25, 2004 09:26 PM

Hello everyone... I don't expect anyone to draw this out for me, but I am planning to build a few outdoor pens for some lizards... basically I was planning on using 4x4s, 2x4s and chicken wire... The enclosures will be roughly 6Lx4Wx6H, although I will tweek this to max/min the amount of materials needed... Do any of you guys have outdoor enclosures? and with what materials did you construct them?...
Chris, why don't you come back to NE for a week or so and help me throw these up!?... I'll buy the beer...

Hey Ben,

I'll try to give you a call sometime this weekend. Let me know a good time.

Regarding the cages, why not something a bit smaller and lighter than can be rolled indoors during bad weather, etc.? Maybe a similar design to Tracy's bushbaby cage?

Instead of chicken wire, check the garden section of your local home depot type store, they have what looks like chicken wire, but its made of plastic. Pretty strong stuff, ive made turtle traps out of it before. Might be a little softer on the noses.
