yup more negatives then positives, but since its short term id say they would probibly be okay. Youd really need to watch them closely. Better yet maybe get a inexpensive critter keeper?

How large is the unbroken tank? You could always use a tank divider to separate the animals available at most petstores in the fish section. A critter keeper is good, but you can also buy most 10 gallon aquariums for only $10. If you just keep plastic wrap around you won't need a hood.

If you have no money AT ALL, use a large rubbermaid container, I mean storage bin kind for clothes. Probably best if its clear. Poke a bunch of holes in the lid and maybe cut a large hole for a light with a razor cutter.

You could always ask friends if they have an aquarium you could borrow.

No. the mantellas are mosty likely WC. It doesnt matter if its long term or short term, as soon as the mantellas defecate into your aquarium or are in contact with the azureus, your in trouble.

Lets not forget the significant difference in care requirements between a lowland tropical species and a tropical montane swamp-forest species. I wouldn't put them together for that reason alone.
