Great Deal on those carpets BTW. Carpet pythons come in as many tempraments as they do in patterns. They are a very variable snakes thru and thru.
My adult male took a year to tame into a neck-snake and I purchased him at 3 feet. My hatchling female I've had since november and she is still taking pot shots at me every time I hold her. On the other hand I've heard of Carpets that tame in days, and there are others that have never struck at their handlers in their lives.
Biggest piece of advice I can say is to be patient, and handle often. These snakes are a bit more high-strung than boas or other ground snakes. They will panic and react poorly to being restrained or handled with quick movements. Mine also seem to be VERY sensitive to nervousness. So keep that all in mind and hopefully they'll tame down quickly.
Best of luck and hope this helped

>>Here's my problem,I just go two queensland for a smoking deal of 75.00 for the pair.the smaller male is about six feet and the bigger male is a solid eight feet. The smaller male is not as bad as the bid boy.I've been dealing with boas and pythons for many years but this is my first pair of carpets.I do take them out every day for about 20 minutes or until they get wild.My ? is how hard is it going to be to get these carpets to calm down and be able to trust them. Also if anyone has any unwanted female let me know i would like to get a pair of females for my boys. Thanks again and take care.
