I am new here, I just got 2 golden skinks. A male and female. The owner at the store said to feed them twice a week. I have put a dozen crickets in. (I just got them about 2 hours ago or so) and they have eaten all but 1 or 2 of them. Will they keep eating and eating? I need to find a care sheet too. my email is: redfacedbandit@hotmail.com > if anyone wants to contact me through that with info, it'd be much appreciated

I've not kept golden skinks, but I can offer you some general advice that you may (or may not) find helpful.

First, insectivorous lizards are best fed more frequently than only twice a week. I would recommend feeding at least 3 times a week. Feeding every other day is an ideal schedule.

You should also try to offer a variety of foods. Crickets are a good staple diet, but waxworms, mealworms and other insects can be offered as well. Make sure that you add powdered vitamin and calcium supplements to 1-2 feedings per week and that you gutload the crickets before feeding them out.

Try to feed your skinks when you notice they are most active, and remove any uneated crickets from the cage once they're done eating. Hungry crickets are well-known for nibbling on live reptiles and can cause significant damage.

For care sheets try googling for golden skink or Mabuya multifasciata. I also highly recommend the book Feeding Insect Eating Lizards by David Zoffer.

Enjoy your new pets!

Welcome!
I would second Zeteki's comments as well as add to gut load your crickets/feeder insects. Keep them in their own area and offer food/water for 24 hours before offering to your skink. Often pet stores will not adequately feed or water their feeder insects, and offering a hungry/dehydrated cricket to your skink is not very nutritious. Removing the uneaten crickets and putting them back in the 'cricket house' will protect your skink from being nibbled as well as keep the cricket gut-loaded for future feeding.
