The hot spot i have for my new yearling ball python is up on a branch, will they climb to these spots or should i redirect the light to hit the ground?

The hot spot i have for my new yearling ball python is up on a branch, will they climb to these spots or should i redirect the light to hit the ground?
I belive they will clim a little. but as long as its not to high, you should be fine. nice setup 
Some climb, some don't. I say provide primary heat for the belly so that they can ball up in a secure hide/spot rather than having to always climb up and hand on a branch when they want to get warm. Besides, would you want to always have to sleep on a branch to stay warm?
I think/prefer belly heat with a UTH is best and that you can supplement (not substitute) with overhead heat if you want/need.
What are the surface temps on both sides? I guess it's possible the the substrate on the warm side is warm enough.
Warm side surface temps: 90 (95 tops)
Cool side surface temps: 80-85
You need to also have at least one hide on each side. What size is your setup?
