the best thing that i have seen people say, and this is also what i did with my turtles. I got one of my turtles a year before the other one, and the big one kept trying to bite the little one. so i seperated them, and introduced them slowly to each other. i started with an hour the first day and then increased the time slowly. now they are living in the same tank and seem to be pretty happy together, even though one is still much smaller than the other! hope this helps...

I have a 30gallon long tank and my turtles are all aroud 3 inches ( one is just under, one is right at and the other is a little over 3 inches)The basking area is a rock set up so they can go under it and be out of the light or get on top and sun. The basking area is 9 inches by 13 inches.let me know what I should do. ( he was keep with 4 other Res in the pet store if that helps)Thanks

Your tank is not big enough for 9 inches of turtles (3 each). Rule of thumb is 10 gallons/inch. This is probably why there is hostility. They dont have any where to go to get away from each other. I would suggest a bigger tank (about 100 gallons or more) and two basking areas. Also I would take out the hostile one and re-introduce it back with the others slowly (like the post above). Good Luck and God Bless.
