I have a 2x1 aquarium (dont know how much gallon) ! And i'm triyng to get the right temp... i try a 75 watt light and got a 94 f hot spot but with a 50 watt i get a 85 f....Should i try a 60 ? I found a shop where they have plenty of different type of light... any kind better than other ? They make light for desert type and light for tropical...is there really a difference ??? I will have a heat pad in a couple of week.

The 50 watt will be fine but you can try the 60 to see if you can get around 88 thats optimal temps.
