Leos colors

Mizar 21 Mar 26, 2004 09:25 PM

As i said before i'll rpobably get my very first leo this weekend... I have two good pet stores and i'll probably visit both of them. My question is , Are the young leo that i will see will keep their color ? I mean do they change color or pattern as they grow ? Also , does young or juvenile leo have a fatty tail ? Or is it okay if their tail is a bit less thick ?

Leos general either get alot brighter as they get older(tangerine for instance) or dull out(like albinos for instance). Also babies and juvies have stripes as they grow it will form a more scattered pattern.Generally babies and juveniles dont have fatty tails because all the fat and energy is going into growing but they wont have extremely skinny tails.Trust me you will be able to tell a healthy tail its farely thick in growing leos.

I've noticed in one of my males that he became darker as he aged. He used to have more yellow, but that has faded to a more mustard coloration... I guess anything is possible when they are growing up.
