Breed your own Bro,....

It's really quite easy. If you are interested in rat breeding racks or plans to build them just drop me an email at BrianSmithReptiles@hotmail.com and you can be breeding in just a few short weeks. Trust me, you will save a bloody fortune if you do this. Otherwise just find a good source for frozen shipped rodents (hint hint) in the kingsnake classifieds.

Depends on where you are in Georgia. I'm in south Georgia, and I get my rabbits from any one of a number of people who raise meat rabbits in my area. I'm about to try ordering some frozen rabbits to see if my burmese will eat them. It that works out, then I'm going to stay with that route. As far as rats go, I've always had trouble finding big rats. Most corner pet shops have small ones, but jumbos are very difficult to find.

The best thing might be to order frozen ones if you can't breed your own. I don't have enough snakes to warrant a home breeding program, so I just buy mine locally.

If you're in north Georgia, good luck. Had a friend of mine who had a burmese when he was going to school in Athens. When the snake got big enough to eat rabbits, he gave her to me. He could find rabbits up there, but they were all small and very, very expensive. Granted, this was many years ago, so things may have changed. But I know I'm paying twice as much for rabbits down here than I paid several years ago.
