I have been breeding mice for my snake and lizards for a while, thinkin of switching over to gerbils 'cause they are cuter, any reasons to or not to make the switch besides the litters not being as big? Thanks

From a nutritional standpoint they are both equal. I dont know how hard it will be to switch them from gerbils to rats once the boa gets bigger. Also isn't mice and rats easier to breed than gerbils and also have bigger litters. I know stubborn feeders will feed on gerbils more than mice and rats. Hope this helps
Unless you HAVE to switch to gerbils, I would stay away from it. It will be hard to get them to switch to rats after a gerbil.
