o.t. Pionus corn

Yesterday my neighbor brought over his Pionus parrot and GAVE him to me, cage and all...but I think he needs a bigger cage really soon. I gave the neighbor my last available baby from last years clutch in exchange, not exactly an even exchange, but it worked for me

Oliver is 3 years old, and he did bite me a couple times yesterday, but only bruises, no blood. He doesn't seem concerned about the cats at all, and only two of them care about him, but they're afraid! lol He grumbles "I'm a pretty bird" and whistle the cunstruction worker whistle. Since he's still so young maybe I can teach him to clean the snake cages

I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but be sure to keep the cats away from the bird because the cats can transmit a toxic bacteria (or something like that) to your bird. A friend didn't know about this and her bird bit her cat and the bird died the next day.

they aren't really close, and never together if i'm not in the room. Actually, in the 24 hours he's been here, I've discovered what seems to be a pretty serious health problem..he doesn't poop much, he tries a lot, but most times nothing comes out, and one time a whole in the shell pistachio nut came out! I'm pretty worried now that I've been given a seriously ill bird, and maybe or maybe not, this is something that I think the neighbor should have noticed and took care of. especialy before giving poor Oliver to someone who can't afford the vet bills i see coming my way.....I may just have to tell the neighbor to take him back and to the vet right away.

White caps are cool birds. The look of a larger amazon without the noise! I highly recomend them for first-time bird folk.
