Leos just need to know its daylight and an ambient temp around moist hide 85ish to 90ish correct? They gather no real needs from sun etc since we sprinkle their food etc and they are in moist hide usually 20 out of the 24 hours. (at least mine are)

sunlight helps break down calcium in the system, it doesnt matter if they reptile is nocturnal or not. leos dont need to sun to help them do it, they do it fine by them selfs, but if its there it will still help them. and also the light is manely used for breeding season.

UTH for me was a total pain in the arse. Once defective they get extremely hot etc, so I use bulbs for warmth.
