The smaller of my two new veiled chameleons has some grey splotches on her hind legs. The legs are very useable and she does not show any signs of losing balance or grip. The himidity and temps are normal ~71 F and ~60% humidity. The cage is off the floor 2 1/2 feet and is 2x2x4'. She is full-grown and has laid one clutch of eggs before, I see signs of early eggs in her abdomen, and her sister is carrying eggs at the moment as well. The siblings laid eggs at the same time in December 2003. They were kept in the same enclosure and i think the female with the grey legs was the one that got secod coice of food etc. She is quite skinny (not in danger of sickness or anything) I can see her ribs more than normal and her spine is very slightly visible. When she thins herself out to hide, her underside skin crumples up a bit. I am hydrating her well in case this is dehydration. She is almost always a very light green colour. She has stayed within the same 8 cubic inch space sinnce her arrival to her new home, but does wander to eat. She doesn not drink off of leaves etc. but does drink off of her face when sprayed.
