Browing in iguana

gmesumsgr Mar 27, 2004 12:29 PM

I just recently bought an iguana, and during the course of the first week, I noticed that his head and top of the body have turned brown. I have the book Iguanas for Dummies and figured it was due to stress. I have stopped listneing to music and have not been watching tv and trying to keep my daughter out of my room to eliviate the stress. My question is, does the color go back to normal when the stress is reduced?

He might be getting ready to shed. when he is finished being stressed or he shedshe will go back to his pretty green self. If he stays brown for more than a week I suggest a vet visit to a good herp vet (you should take him in anyways being hes a new ig and needs to be screened for parasites and possible illness)And have him checked out
Good Luck
