do hogs need to be introduced to a water source...or will the recognize the water dish themselves...i have "shown" my hog where it is...by placing it close to it and it smelled it...but thats about it...also...she just ate...but she still goes to the cool side of the tank...my temp gradient is correct according to most caresheets...warm side air temp is 80..substrate is 84...hot side...and cool side is 75...iono...shes eating fine and hasn't regurged..just curious though..

I introduce my snakes to the water by basicly sticking their head in it so they "recognize" what it is. Then keep it in the same place at all times. So they know where it is. I've had no problems so far.

They can smell the water too. If they need it, they'll drink it. Changing the water can spark drinking, so you'll see it someday if you're patient. But hogs don't drink too often.
