Amiracle Wet/Dry Filters

AdamH Jun 12, 2003 03:40 PM

I have my Fluval 404, but with my 4 ever growing turtles, this filter obviously isnt enough. Im constantly cleaning it.

Has anyone gotten an Amiracle Filter?

If so, how is it? what size do you have? Do you really only need to change it like once a month?

I am planning on buying one if reactions are good, otherwise, i dont know what else to get.

thanks,
Adam

AdamH,
I can't help you with the Amiracle filter, I never even heard of them.
I've also got 4 turtles and I don't find it necessary to clean them but once a month. (2-304's doing 60G's) And even then I only have to change the polyfiber and rinse everything else off. I replace the carbon and ammonia remover every 2 months.
The 404 is rated to do a 100G fish tank. Which means it can only do a 50G of turtle water. Is your 404 overburdened?
