Need Help ...With CAGE Size..Please..

Hello I am thinking of buying a Tegu... i have and extra cage that is 48in long x 30 in Deep x 24 in tall...my question is how long can i can keep it in a cage this size .. is i diffrent for males or females..also which gender is easier to tame or becomes more docile

It depands on the type tegu you get some get bigger than others. I would say for it should be ok until they are about a year old or 30" long. After that you need to either give it some room to move around every day or get a bigger cage. I have not found a difference in personality male vs female.

It does say on the ron st. pierre web sight that female b/w tegus can become temporarily aggressive during the breeding season.
