No female for Ra : (

sunfox Mar 27, 2004 04:00 PM

Well, it seems that the female I had planned to buy suddenly isn't for sale anymore. I was told that it was for the new hatchlings they are expecting. I DON'T NEED HATCHLINGS, I NEED ADULTS! I'm just so p.o'd right now! :< They claim that they didn't try to deceive me but it's still false advertising. None of the breeders in the US wants to ship their animals to Canada and there are zero breeders here (in Canada) who are selling adult malis, only hatchlings. I guess Ra will have to remain a bachelor the rest of his life. I'm so disappointed.

There's apparently a lot of paperwork involved in shipping an animal across the border. But I read somewhere on the CITES website that if an animal is captive bred (and it can be proved by the breeder) and is intended to be used for breeding purposes (also as long as it is not an endangered or protected species), it can be sent across the border with a lot less paperwork and red tape.
If you know a breeder that has adult female malis and are willing to ship to Canada, please let me know.

Thanks all

Poor Ra!

I'm so sorry. That's really rotten. If I hear of anything, I'll definitely let you know!
