Are you dead set on keeping a native frog? I saw that below you asked about a spring peeper as well. If you are just looking for a frog that will make a good pet, why not just buy something like an FBT or horned frog instead of taking a frog out of the wild? Chances are that the wild frog will have a pretty large parasite load, if not more than that.
