i recently had a russian tortoise that i had kept for 5 years die. the reason to the best of my belife is ants. heres a timeline of what i know happned
friday after noon; brought her in and checked all my tortoises over they all seemed fine but i still brought them in because of the rain
saterday afternoon; i went out to put all of them back in their cage and found 1 of them's head compltly swarming with ants after dunking her into a sink really quick i saw that she had no eyes or ears and that under her mouth their was nothing through ears i could see her brain
to the best of my knowladge the ants ate her alive as she was healthy when i last saw her last night.

OMG... that is so grose, sorry about it, where do you live, i eman ur ants have to be pretty mean, it wansst alive when u dunked it in the sink was it?

no it wasent alive when i dunked it but i wanted to see if i could save her if possible and as for where i live i live in northern californa near aubern which ic north of sacermento

Holy crap! That is scary! Poor little turtle...
Knowing that, I wouldn't even leave my kids out there to play!!!
