Hi,
I just noticed that my white's skin is kind of mottled brown and pink. Is this normal? He is normally green or brown. My dad says he looks like he's molting or somthing. Also he's not hungry. Does anyone know what this is?
Thanks,
sarah

WTF's can change from a color of a green to a color of a brown within five min. Their coloration can resut in their environment, stres factors, and/or daytime/nighttime colors. Mine would be a lime green during the day and then a brown at night. How long has it been since your frog has eaten, also when whites tree frogs arn't eating its matter of a few days that they start looking week, limp, and really bony to the point that you can see their bone outlines if they are not eating. If it has been a long time and you do not indicait these factors then your frog is indeed eating, but behinde your back, when you are not knoticing it. The only time you have a problem is when your frog becomes VERY lathargic and is refusing food other then that your frog should be fine.
Also, they do "shed" (I don't really know the proper term for it). It's different than what snakes or lizards do, though. When they "shed," they eat the skin that comes off, so often they won't eat for a couple days around the time of doing this. That could also be a reason for the coloration change - mine usually turn a really dark brown color when they do it. But, they shouldn't be that dark brown color ALL the time. Do you have any other signs of illness? Is your frog still producing waste?

Sorry i didn't reply sooner, he went right back to normal the next day. He ate the day before i posted. He is nice and plump but not obese. There are some fresh stools around his favorite hangout. Thanks for the replies.
