I just got my baby frilly!!!

MagickDragon Mar 27, 2004 10:53 PM

I have been researching for about a year, and finally got one on tuesday. It's cooler than I ever hoped it would be. My question is: is it possible that this one is CBB? I read on here that this is not the right time of the year for CBB frills. Also, how much does a three month old eat daily (guess) right after you receive it. This one is so sweet, it hates for me to put it back in the enclosure, it loves to hang out on my collar. Thanks

Congrats!
As for CBB--it depends who you got him from. To verify that a frilly is CBB just ask who the breeder is--there are not that many frilly breeders around. And if they say it was them and you are skeptical (if they are dealing with a lot of other imports)--just ask for photos of parents or eggs hatching.
But yes, there are very few true CBB babies around this time of year and tons of imports in all sizes.

This one is three months old, thats why I thought to ask. Should I deworm or anything? What is your opinion of the parazap? Also, would an import be super sweet and calm? Thanks so much

I personally do not believe in deworming without a cause to. If your frilly is eating and gaining weight with normal feces, I'd leave him be.
If you get imports young, they can be quite docile. At the same time it is easy to mistake calmness for fear (not moving) or cold (they dont move much when cold).
