breeding stimulus in corns

toppy Mar 28, 2004 08:23 AM

I recently purchased a large amel male corn who was supposed to have been brumated. I have 2 w/c adult female corns who due to vet and quarentine requirements (pancour routine) were not brumated. I have introduced the snakes several times over the past few weeks and they get along fine but no breeding. are there any triggers for breeding responses or do I have to stop feeding the females and brumate them. Also if the male is of healthy weight 670 grams can I brumate him again with the females? I hate to do this if there is some way to get them to breed.
thanks chris

I would introduce them once every few days.
It took my striped amel male several trys before he finaly got the hint.
