Does anyone know of a good beginners box turtle? Please tell me if it can live in a 50 gallon aquarium with access to outside. Thnx for the help.

I apologize in advance for sounding like a party pooper, but here goes.
I would say that box turtles are not beginner's pet, that there isn't really a beginner's box turtle, and a 50 gallon tank would not be a suitable choice of habitat for anything but a hatchling.
Box turtles tend to end up being rather expensive indoor pets, due to the cost of sundry and assorted equipment you'll find necessary (lights, heaters, etc.), not to mention the cost of the enclosure itself.
If you aren't ready to spend some money on the setup, be prepared for some hefty vet bills down the road if its basic requirements aren't met.
These would be a few things to consider before making a decision.
Regards,
Stephanie
