If shes gavid, she should look pretty fat, and maybe bulgy !
You MUST provide a laying spot for her NOW !

They usually eat like cray at this time. It only takes about 23 -24 days to lay after they breed. So its fast!

About 3 days before laying their appetite decreases. They start non- stop digging.

LAYING NEST

Some of us use 2 bricks, in an L shape in the corner of tank, this means the glass should be the back and also one of the sides, got that??? Leave a space between the glass and one brick for an enterance for her.

Put a flat rock on top of bricks as a roof, or anything flat and sturdy! Make sure theres about 3 inches of damp sand inside for her to lay eggs in and bury them.

Oh and to be on safe side, just make some damp spots here and there, in tank, in case she chosses not to use her nest !

When she lays, she should appear noticably thinner. At this time remove her, for a minute, and GENTLY look for her eggs. They will be covered.

You will have easy access, by removing the roof !

Try and keep them in same position as layed. (should see a pinkish hue, this is the top) Place top UP.

They have to be placed in an incubator, if your making one, go to Will Wells site and look at his info on that.

If you bought a hovabator then use that. You will want to use a deli cup, or plasic glad type, sandwich container, fill few inches of dampened vermiculite or perlite which ever you can get.
place eggs on the egg medium. (This part you can look up as far as parts of water/ medium)

Incubate the eggs at 80-85° F (27-29°C) Don't allow temps to go under 72 or over 90

Higher temperatures will get ya more males, and lower incubation temperatures will produce more females.

Should hatch in 40 - 60 days ! GOOD LUCK !!!

Anthing else ask or email, Great to hear from you guys, I want to ask you questions later too ! :0)

Others may want to add more !
