High Protein Diet Reduces Growth Rates??

Midnightfalcon Jun 12, 2003 04:45 PM

I know uros are considerably slow growers.. but my female has not grown at ALL since I got her in Dec. She's about 9 in. is that the max out for them or what? Anyways.. since when I got my uros they were considerably skinny so I had them on a high protein diet.. to bulk them up. Would this stunt the growth rate?

What species do you have?
The size is dependent of the species you keep.

I don't believe much protein will stop it from growing.

9 inch (=about 22 cm) is not the max length.
13-14 inch is the maximum for U. dispar maliensis.

Do you know how old the animal is? And how long do you have it?
