If you want a blood dragon look no further than Dragon's Den. Kevin is the one who pretty much invented that morph. They don't get any more authentic that that.
They do come in a few different colors, though. Some are brilliant red, and some are more orange and yellowish. I bought one of the orange hatchlings in January, and it cost $150. He charges $250 for the redder bloodlines. The thing is, he doesn't guarantee color. Dragons, and especially bloods, change colors a lot from hatchling to adult, so there is no way to guarantee what a baby will look like when it's older. You can get a good idea though by looking at some of the other animals produced by the same breeding pair. When mine arrived it was a gray-ish brown, certainly not what I expected at the time, but now two months later it is bright orange, just like it's older siblings. Just let him know what you are looking for and he will do his best to pick out a nice animal. I am very pleased with the health and quality of my baby. He gave me exactly what I wanted and kept in good contact with me to make sure the transaction went smoothly. I would definately buy from him again.
As for boy or girl, it really doesn't matter. Same with whether you get a hatchling or adult. I think Kevin usually just sells the hatchlings though, cuz they all get bought up from him before they are adults. One thing about hatchlings though, they are a little more expensive and difficult to raise. They have special needs for nutrition and care, so do your research.
Good luck
