i don't know about leucistic geckos, i don't have one, but do you think it's possible that it might be just dirty shed? my beardie's belly looks brown when she is getting ready to shed, and then off it comes!!!

other suggestions:

what type of substrate do you use? many types can turn your herps colors. the dye in calci-sand, for instance, runs and will dye your lizards. bark or other wooden objects in the cage might cause discolorations--especially when wet. also, if you use peat moss or vermiculite in your hides, that might make it look dirty, too.

nose rubbing...a lot of times, reptiles will rub their noses on the glass of their cage. maybe on the decorations and in the substrate, too. i am just learning about this problem, so i don't know much about it. i know that it can cause bruising and discoloration of the nose, though.

what kind of "brown" is it?
