Hello,
I was noticing that my male green anole has what sort of looks like a crest on his head/neck. It's not very high, but it's definitely there. Is this a normal feature? Thanks!

I don’t know about yours but it was fun watching my Knight’s Anole grow. Unfortunately I didn’t measure him the day he wandered into my shop and came home with me (Nov) but someone that has not seen him since then says he has doubled in size. He must have been about 4-5” and now he is 7-8. A few months back probably around Dec-Jan. I noticed once a week or so after he had a big meal he would get what I can only describe as a type of swelling from the base of his skull about half way down his back. Eventualy thins turned into his crest. It would come up almost like a blister and disappear in a day. This only happened for 3 or 4 times then he had his crest.
Sorry y do not have a better picture of his crest and i didn't hav the camera when he was growing. Obviously he is the botom one the other is a Flap Neck they seem to get along well.
