Eue Caps

My ball still has eye caps after a couple sheds and heavy misting w/ a water bottle. How do I help her to shed her eyecaps?

A piece of adhesive tape, the sort you would use to cover a small cut on your finger, will do the job. Just press it gently onto the eye and the scale should lift right off with it.

...if not, which is likely, unless the snake can be examined by someone very experienced with BPs, like a herp vet, the best thing to do is leave them alone. THEN, when the snake sheds again, make sure you have good humidity in the tank during the shed. Correct this and you'll have a good shed.

Retained eyecaps are really, really bad. I had a male who came to me with one retained eye cap. As soon as he gave signs that he'd be going into shed, I moved him to an undecorated rubebrmaid container and placed some moist sphagnum moss in there. Daily I misted the inner sides and lid, and soaked the newspaper substrate. he shed a great shed under these conditions, all one piece.
Also make sure that you are offering clean water daily. If snakes don;t keep hydrated, they're more apt to retain sheds because they can't really build up the fluid between the old and new skin that helps them shed cleanly.
If there are that many eyecaps on your snake, I really suggest taking it to the vet. It is a dangerous thing to try taking off eyecaps yourself using tape or even mineral oil, and it could lead to snake blindness!
