how old/big is this gecko?
6 crix in one week isn't something to freak out about. There were times back when i lived in a small town and none of the stores have any insects and mine couldn't eat for like 3-4 days straight. And nothing happened, except that i felt bad.
It might be in your head that the tail is getting smaller, ask for a second opinion about tail size, do you have any pics which we could compare? Leos shouldn't lose their tail fat that quickly, could someone verify that?

From all your posts i've read you should just relax. Heat pads are fine i have one of mine in a rubber maid and heat pad, he eats fine and poops fine.

yea i prolly should settle down but c my leo isnt eating right. only 6 when that isnt much at all.... her stumac looks bloted almost thats y. i got her in her own cage so i can look at her poop at stuff. i wanna check that out cause last time it was very small and mostly just water.... that aint right at all..... or is a female poop smaller then a males ? i dont think so..... but might be .

how old or large is she???
she could be ovulating or if she is old enough and been in with a male she could be gravid, or egg bound... so many things it could be you need to get a gram size on her and give us specifics on how she was kept prior to this.. it is hard to say thoufgh with the limited info you have given us.... and when you do please type it in a manner we can understand

did you read my reply to your post below? i think it's gonna take some time to get her calmed down in her new habitat. i don't think that now, where you've had her with a male larger than her--and then moved her to a new cage as recently as last night--is the time to be getting too worried or freaked out about it. get her in a cage set up right--with the right temps and a nice hide box--and give her a nice bowl of mealworms, and leave her alone for a little while. she is probably just to stressed out from all the commotion.

so u saying put her back in her old cage ?

schwan Mar 28, 2004 07:04 PM

well, no, not exactly...i think that her being with the male will also stress her out...it may have been the reason that she is so stressed in the first place. i just think that she needs a nice, quiet, calming place of her own and after a while she should start eating more regularly again.

epreptile89 Mar 28, 2004 08:38 PM

she goes right where the male is if he is on the cold side of the tank she is right there with him.. if he is on the warm side in humid hide she right there wit him... etc.... i think wat i am going 2 do is just put her in her own place so she cant see the male and i can see wat she is eating.. that sound good or not at all ?

Just try to leave her alone for awhile.
