Ive never really seen how much a healthy lively gecko does? Do they come out of there hide to do more than poop? Mine come out about 10pm and poops and thats the last I see her until next night at 10 pm.

Well, every leo is different, so they all have different habits. One of my geckos is always out, and another one I never see. So it really just depends on their personalities. Your leo probably does come out later at night though and you just don't see it. I wouldnt be worried about it's shyness.
