Cal King Question

herphijinx Mar 29, 2004 12:42 AM

I recently purchased a beautiful female 50/50 Cal King, and she is the sweetest thing in the world. However, every once in a while she will urinate when I pick her up. This evening, as I was holding her, she urinated, and immediately afterward, I noticed a fairly decent sized pink "object" protruding from her vent. It was oblong and approximately twice the size of her eyeball. She is currently back in her tank, and I intend to check it again tomorrow. But in the mean time, I was just wondering if anyone knows what exactly this could be? To my knowledge, she has not been with any males, and she shows no signs of pregnancy. I was more curious as to whether it may be stress related (almost like a hernia)coinciding with the urination. I appreciate the info.

It's completely normal. They just pop some of their insides outside when they go to the bathroom, I've seen my king do it in her cage. The only time it would be a problem would be if they can't get it back in.
I also think that they 'go' on you because crawling around just kind of gets everything moving. So don't take it personally.
