Got bitten. And a question

ew1074 Mar 29, 2004 08:51 AM

I got bitten by my normal female last night. I was laying on my bed with my face laid flat. She was walking around on my bed. She walked up by my face and clamped down on my upper lip. This was totally unexpected. I have been bitten by her before when she was a juvie, but it was just a quick bite and then she let go. Well, this was no warning bite, this was a "i'm already ticked and i'm going to kill you now" type bite. She wouldnt let go, and she kept clamping. It felt like a throbbing headache. Then she started shaking her head. I thought she was going to take a chunk out of my lip before she let go. There was a little blood and a huge red mark right above my lip. Her bottom jaw was underneath. Should i be concerned about any diseases since she was practically in my mouth? Also since she drew blood? I've heard reptiles carry salmonella and other things. How are these transmitted? Thanks

Salmonells is transmitted through their poop, it incubates in the intestines and rubs off onto the poop when they pass it, im sure you'll be fine, leos are not known to carry salmonella

Oww.. sounds like that smarts. Guess she taught you to never give her lip again.

Sorry for the pun. I couldn't help it. And besides, if it ever happens again, just go gargle some mouthwash... should clean your mouth out good.

Hi

Clean it out good with hydrogen peroxide and that should be good.

If ever she bits you again and starts the head shaking, gentle grab her head to keep her from shaking her head and ripping your skin open.

Take Care, TLB
