can this work out in the long run?

hi salamanderpeople.
i have just set up an aquarium with some salamanders in it, but i have no real expirience with salamanders in aquariums, so i would ask here if i could get some help.

i currently have 1 adult male and 2 kids(1F and 1M) at 2cm lenght (1/4 size of adult) of the species triturus vulgaris, wich is a very common newt in europe.

i have watched them eat living small nightcrawlers, and they get a few ants and some fishfood flakes.

they are in a large winebrewing flask, 25 liters i think, with some scenery stuff in it, and some hideouts witch have an alright size for them i guess. some living willow branches. no sand ground. shadow, as they seem to prefere that.
but there is no water cleaning mashine or air mashine, is that necessary? (i know nothing about aquariums)

i think they behave as they are not stressed, and the temperature is quite cold. though the kids seem quite inactive, but i think that's normal for salamanderkids.

but what do you people think?, could this work in the long run, under this circumstaces?

Never in one million years. Maybe for now but if i was you i would buy a twenty gallon long with a screen top, 75 watt day and night glo, fluval 2 plus submersible filter or ovation 380 (I use both but Prefer ovation. Get some large rocks and fill half of one side of the tank up with gravel and then keep it packed in with the large rocks. put in some aquatic plant and terrarium carpet on the land side of the tank, put some potted ferns there too put some hiding places on the land then put some jungle mix on it and walla add a background and poof a perfect tank
