WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!! Look what just hatched!

GoldenGateGeckos Mar 29, 2004 03:18 PM

I'm sooooo excited! This little guy just hatched a few hours ago. He's the first clutch/baby from both parents. I can't wait to see what his clutchmate looks like!

Everyone’s getting such nice hatchlings! I’m so jealous of you all; the waiting is the hardest part. Keep up the great work Marcia!

Both parents are Trempers, the mother is an "almost" reverse stripe jungle. Her photo can be seen on the 'breeders' page of my site, www.goldengategeckos.com/breeder%20pix/lilahblk.JPG. His father is fully reverse striped... from head to tip of the tail. I have been looking for papa's photo, and can't seem to find it! I should have taken a shot of him when I was was getting the pic of the hatchling.

...but I will most likely sell him. It's kind of hard to see in the photo, but is head, back legs, and along his sides are pretty orange... so I'll hang on to him until I can see how much of that coloration develops. I want to see how consistently the parents produce morphs like this, too. If he's one-of-a-kind, it might make me want to consider line breeding, which I have never done before!

LOL!!! Tim, I would trust you completely to take great care of him. BTW, his clutchmate hatched this morning... same stripe from the back of his head all the way down his back! His tail is jungle, and his color is not quite as stunning. I will have some females from the same pair coming in another week or so, as well as a clutch from the same father with a different mother... it will be interesting to see how they turn out!

That you Marcia are one of the very few breeders that I would trust to give me a Leo in the most excellent condition. Proven 3 times with 3 absolutely gorgeous males. Cept Bam-bam he keeps trying to take my finger tips off while eating silks...LOL

Does your finger look like a worm, or are you giving him the finger while you are feeding him?
