Was wondering if anyone could help me out with this one. I have a small Leo colony 1.8. All animals are at least 2 years old and closer to 3 years. I bred the male to the females last year and though numerous eggs were laid only 1 turned out to be fertile and hatched. So far this year about 20 eggs have been laid and all but 1 (which is still incubating) have been infertile. Could it be that the male is shooting blanks? All Leo's were cooled for at least 3 months and the male was kept separate from the females. The females continue to produce eggs (all are gravid as I write this) but I'm afraid that these are all infertile also. If he IS sterile, impotent, whatever; can I try using another male with the females in the hopes that he can do the job??? Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
Pete
