breeding corns

is it time to breed corns now or should i wait longer

That depends on when you took them out of cooling (assuming you did so). I wait until my females shed for the first time out of burmation. They seem to have greatest pheromone production at this time and it drives the males wild, but every one has their own system. Some people don't even cool their corns for winter, however cooling usually results in higher fertility.

well well well the cooling thing comes up again. I dont cool mine and i have always had succesful breeding, as a matter of fact this is the first year i didnt due to illness and all. i have only been messing aroud with the breeding only doing one pair and all to see what i get and give the offspring to friends and family. i also live in florida as well, so if they dont do it right away i wait till the spring rain adn open the door and that always makes them in the mood if you know what i mean.
