Plainbelly or Diamondback???

iturnrocks Mar 29, 2004 10:58 PM

Im too lazy to turn him over to check, and I dont feel like getting musked again, so if you can tell from this photo, Id love to have your guesses. Im pretty sure its a Nerodia erythrogaster, but someone suggested N. rhombifer. Any help would be apprecitated.

Definately a plainbelly. Rhombifer would have some kind of dorsal patterning. Rhombifer is derived from "rhombus" a diamond. No diamonds on its back.
