i'm having an awful time with z's humidity. it's too high. anywhere from 60 to 70% at all times. i rarely mist him and when i do it's just a couple of sprays. what do you all suggest i do? he's in a wooden inclosure with a glass front. perhaps he needs more ventilation or a fan maybe??? this IS oklahoma so the humidity here is always very high.

Is it finished wood or bare? If it's bare, I would get another cage, not only humidity but bare wood can harbor bacteria and if it's staying moist, you could have a problem on your hands.
What you could do is stop misting in the cage and just give him a quick soak daily or every other day. You could even try a small water dish & see if he will use it.

Good luck

You could purchase a good dehumidifier and put it in the room with the beardie. Not sure if you have central air conditioning or other forms but these also take out some moisture from the air. If you lack AC of any type and typically keep windows open for cool air then it will be hard to maintain a steady humidity lower than outside. I would recommend moving the beardie cage to a room that you can keep the door closed and windows closed without over heating the room. This room should be a room that still gets a fair amount of people traffic so he doens't get lonely.
