Does anyone mist their leo enclosure? I've never heard of this, but just read about it in a care sheet...? I thought Pakistan was dry?? No? Hmmm???

Does anyone mist their leo enclosure? I've never heard of this, but just read about it in a care sheet...? I thought Pakistan was dry?? No? Hmmm???
i wouldnt encourage it...spraying would be ine if the leo didnt have a humid hide, but it also tranfers humidity into the anclosure, too much humidity isnt a good thing
Hi
As long as you have a humid hide in your tank, you don't need to mist the whole tank.
The idea of the humid hide is just to help them when they go to shed in getting it all off.
Take Care, TLB
Yep the humid hide is the only thing you need to mist. This can be a simple butter container with an opening that your leo can fit through. I put a folded piece of paper towel in for hatching’s substrate. The older leos graduate to moss, that I mist daily, just like the paper towel. Sometimes if I notice a gecko is going into shed, I will lightly mist the enclosure.
I agree that the over all humidity of the tank should be dry, very high humidity levels can lead to respiratory infections in leos. 1 Hope this helps,

Now my gecko looks for me to spray her tank, she goes and licks the water droplets off the side of the tank and yes she does have a water bowl./ What can too much humidity do to her?
Thanks

thats kinda funny, i just got my leo yesterday and i know that i'm not sapposed to mist because i've been researching for quite awhile but the care sheet that cam with my leo said mist their enclosure twice a day! I tried to tell them otherwise but as usual i was ignored.
