Potty trained snake...

nechushtan Mar 30, 2004 05:39 AM

I was just curious if it is normal for a snake to use the same spot for defecation repeatedly... Our Bullsnake has chosen a spot so reliably that all I have to do is put a folded paper towel down over a small area in a back corner and I'll know that's all I'll have to clean. It's actually a second chamber in her terrarium (converted entertainment stand) that she seems to only want to go into when she has to go to the bathroom or is preparing to shed. Anyone else ever see this.

As a matter of fact, my female albino bull only defecates in one corner of her cage. I always thought it was just a coincidence. Interesting...
