help for Spot

dea-dog Mar 30, 2004 07:42 AM

Hello,
I have a leopared Gecko called Spot. He is about 10 years old, a few weeks ago he stoped eating. I have tried all diffenet types of food, he is still drinking and pooping. I think he is even sheading his skin,he is getting very thin. Also he had a bad eye infetion a few years ago and is blind, so I have to feed him by hand. My quistion is, is he just getting to the end of his life and this is normal or is there something eles going on?
I am waiting to get a appt. to the vet.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Amy

I cant presume to give you pro advice, I am sorry though, this must be hard to go through. Have you tried baby food? Just a little ground up with worms and fed with a dropper, also I have been advised before to try pedialyte, it's the drink you give kids for dehydration.. Just a few suggestions, good luck...

Hi

It is good to get him a vet. appointment and have a fecal done.

You really can't be sure if it is his age, because L. Geckos can live to be 20 or more years old. So the age thing you really can't answer, because you don't now.
