Question about acrylic cages.

raygat Mar 30, 2004 08:27 AM

I have seen a lot of the acrylic cages on this forum and they are gorgeous works of art.
My question is more about the snakes thay live in them.
When you have a 4 sided acrylic cage, how do snakes get any privacy? Or do they just not need it?
Do you just go heavy on the plants?
cover them at night like a bird?

Just wondering.

Ray

I'll assume you mean arboreal snakes in acrylic cages. Acrylic caging doesn't make much sense for a ground-dwelling

Fake plants are a great way to give a tree-dwelling snake a sense of security. Also, many keepers have dedicated rooms that do not see alot of people traffic other than the keeper, so the snakes aren't bothered much anyway.
