Aspen chip for hatchlings (
I've heard mixed opinions about putting hatchlings on such small substrate. My vet says he's seen many problems from people putting hatchlings on it.
Liners or newspaper are easy to clean and change.

I use Bounty paper towels except for the one cage I have on display, in that one I use Aspen and feed in a separate container.
You will find as your collection gets larger simplicity is the key. I think paper towels, newspaper, etc.... works fine and is real easy to clean.
